Instructions
Step 1: Prepare for validation
- It’s important that key decision-makers across local government, implementing partners, and other relevant organisations are aligned on the plan set out in the strategy, and are ready to support implementation within their work.
- Start by revisiting the participant list developed during the Initial Insights phase. Identify decision-makers who are crucial for operationalising the Immunization Demand Strategy, including:
- Implementers (e.g. local health workers, community leaders)
- Resource providers (e.g. donors, government budget holders)
- Advocates and decision-makers (e.g. policymakers, religious leaders).

- Address any feedback during the meeting to finalise the strategy. Be open to adjusting solutions, timelines, or roles to ensure the strategy is practical and inclusive.
- If necessary, develop a follow-up plan to ensure the strategy moves from validation to implementation by highlighting key responsibilities, timelines, and a system for communication and accountability among decision makers and implementors.
Congratulations! 🎉
You’ve reached the end of the DSB process—an incredible milestone! Remember, this is just the beginning of implementing a strategy designed to increase vaccination rates and improve health outcomes in your community. With a validated strategy in hand, you're now equipped to mobilise resources and take actionable steps to bring your vision to life.
This Immunization Demand Strategy is a high-level plan of your key approaches to target the main immunization barriers for the highest risk underimmunized communities. More planning and discussions with decision-makers and implementers are required to create detailed implementation plans for each solution.
The journey ahead will involve ongoing collaboration, monitoring progress, and adapting to challenges, but the foundation you've built here will set you up for success. Thank you for all of your hard work—your contributions have the potential to make a real and lasting difference!
