Why do girls get periods and boys don't?

The reproductive organ between a girl and a boy is different. Girls have reproductive organs which include the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tube, cervix and vagina, whereas boys have a scrotum and testicles. Since boys do not have a uterus, their body does not go through the process of getting a period and hence do not get pregnant.
